Walter is the Director of Golf at the Pine Creek Golf Center.  A Golf Professional since 1993 Gene was also the Head P.G.A Teaching Professional at Deer Run Golf Club and is currently the owner of the (P.A.G.A)Pennsylvania Golf Academy.  In addition to his role at Pine Creek, Gene has been involved in providing golf instruction at Carnegie Mellon University, Keystone Rehabilitation and UPMC as well as the lead instructor to students in the inner city school programs.

An accomplished Tri-State P.G.A. champion and P.C.A.A. State Amatuer champion receiving all state honors, Gene has attained success locally in the Tri-State PGA as well as nationally on both the Nationwide and Hooters Tours.   He was also the Medalist in the 2010 US Open Local Qualifier by shooting a 69 at Quicksilver golf club.   While still competing in select professional events the majority of Gene’s time is devoted to his family and students.   A varied student base has allowed Gene to instruct thousands of young men and women aspiring to play professionally or to attain a college scholarship as well as those adults just discovering how entertaining and enjoyable the game of golf can really be.  Under his direction the Junior Program at the Pine Creek Golf Center has flourished into the finest program of its kind in Western Pennsylvania.
